Chinese Name and Chinese Culture

  • When you call a Chinese name, remember last name always goes first, such as Wang(3), Jun(1)(王军), instead of June wang (军王) in western form.
  • Three character name is the mostly common used form, some people only have two characters name and a few have four characters name.
  • Sound, shape, and meanings will be a general rule when choosing a good name.
  • Don’t be surprised many Chinese have same names because 100 most common surnames count for 87% of all the names used by the Han people.
